Alexey Pototsky

Alexey Pototsky — Candidate Master of Sports in Mountaineering of the Kyrgyz Republic, instructor, mountain guide. He took part in the meeting of parachutists on Lenin Peak in 2003. He was selected for the Kyrgyzstan youth team (head – A. Gubaev). In 2006, in Karavshin, he made his first "six-grade" ascents. He pioneered 11 new routes in Ala-Archa from grades 2B to 4B. He took part in search-and-rescue operations more than 20 times, in some of them as a leader. He has over 300 ascents to his credit, including six routes of grade 6A. Prizewinner of various competitions in ice climbing, rock climbing, dry-tooling, and speed races to summits.
