The "Winter Snow Leopard" Project

On the initiative of Sergey Seliverstov, in 2016 the "Winter Snow Leopard" project was launched – the ascent of all five seven-thousanders of the CIS in winter.
On the initiative of Sergey Seliverstov, in 2016 the "Winter Snow Leopard" project was launched – the ascent of all five seven-thousanders of the CIS in winter. For participation in the project, the RedFoxAsia team included six people, but for various reasons not all took part in certain stages. In the end, the "Winter Snow Leopard" badge was awarded to three mountaineers:
- Sergey Seliverstov (Kyrgyzstan), badge No. 1,
- Alexey Usatykh (Russia), badge No. 2,
- Mikhail Danichkin (Kyrgyzstan), badge No. 3.
During the project, an ascent of Lenin Peak (7,134 m) was made in 2016 (S. Seliverstov, M. Danichkin, A. Usatykh, R. Abildaev). In 2017, a "Winter Double" was accomplished – peaks Khan Tengri (6,995 m) and Pobeda (7,439 m), earning 1st place in the Championship of the Euro-Asian Mountaineering Association Cup and the "Crystal Peak" award (S. Seliverstov, M. Danichkin, S. Dvornichenko, A. Usatykh). 2018 – Korzhenevskaya Peak (7,105 m) via the southern slope (grade 6A), also earning 1st place in the EAMA Championship and the "Crystal Peak" award (S. Seliverstov, S. Dvornichenko, A. Usatykh, R. Abildaev).
In 2020, in January, the winter ascent of Korzhenevskaya Peak was repeated (M. Danichkin, A. Usmanov). In the same expedition in February, an ascent of Communism (Somoni) Peak (7,495 m) was made via a new route (north face, "Path of the Leopard", grade 6B), 1st place in the EAMA Championship (S. Seliverstov, M. Danichkin, A. Usmanov, M. Cherkasov, A. Yerokhin, A. Moroz, V. Filinov).
