Semyon Dvornichenko

Semyon Vladimirovich Dvornichenko — mountaineer, skyrunner, Candidate Master of Sports in Mountaineering of the Kyrgyz Republic. He began going to the mountains from his school years, and in mountaineering since 1998, a graduate of the "Polytechnic" section (head – Alexander Gubaev). In 2002, he ascended Lenin Peak in alpine style without acclimatisation. In 2006, together with Andrey Puchinin (Almaty), he made a speed ascent of Khan Tengri Peak (from base camp to the summit in 12 hours 30 minutes).

He took part several times in the speed race on Elbrus Peak (5,642 m), and in 2008, at the "Red Fox Elbrus Race" festival, he set a world record (from the altitude of 3,800 m to the summit in 2 hours 58 minutes). In 2009, he improved his record by 15 minutes (2 hours 43 minutes). He took part 4 times in the race on Lenin Peak: 2013 – 1st place (5 hours 28 minutes), 2014 – 2nd place (5 hours 56 minutes), 2015 – 1st place (6 hours 44 minutes), and in 2016 – 2nd place (6 hours 52 minutes).

Within the framework of the "Winter Snow Leopard" project, he ascended Khan Tengri Peak (7,010 m) and Pobeda Peak (7,439 m) in the winter of 2017, and then Korzhenevskaya Peak (in 2018) via a new route on the southern slope (grade 6A). He died in 2018 during the descent from Lenin Peak. He holds the record on Komsomolets Peak (4,204 m) in 1 hour 55 minutes.
