Alexander Shvab

Alexander Yevgenyevich Shvab — Master of Sports of the USSR in Mountaineering, instructor. Having arrived from Irkutsk, he remained in the city of Frunze, becoming the senior instructor of the Rescue and Control Post "Ala-Archa". He made many ascents on Ak-Sai in partnership with Alexander Gaysin, including new routes.

Shvab's routes: on Bailyan-Bashi – grade 5B, on the 6th Tower of Korona – grade 5B, on Baychechekey – grade 5A, on Svobodnaya Koreya – grade 5B. As an instructor, he participated in numerous rescue operations. Subsequently, he worked as the Chief of the Rescue and Control Post in the city of Osh. After the dissolution of the USSR, he moved to Switzerland.
