Dmitry Bochkov

Dmitry Sergeevich Bochkov — Candidate Master of Sports of the USSR in Mountaineering, instructor, "Snow Leopard". In mountaineering since 1968. He competed as a mountaineer of Kyrgyzstan from 1974 until the dissolution of the USSR. He joined the "Spartak" section (head – V. Biryukov). In 1987 he completed the "Snow Leopard" programme. He took part in the championship of the Central Council of the Trade-Union Sports Society "Spartak" – 1st place for the traverse of Peredovoy Peak – 26 Baku Commissars Peak – Revolyutsii Peak (grade 5B). He has 15 ascents of the 5th grade to his credit. After the dissolution of the USSR he ascended Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Muztagh Ata (7,546 m), and Everest (8,848 m).
