Igor Pukhov

Igor Alexandrovich Pukhov — Physician of the Rescue and Control Post, 1st-class mountaineer and mountain tourist, speleologist, republican-category judge in mountain tourism. He began with mountain tourism, but later transferred to the "Selmashevets" section (head – V. Denisov). As a physician, he took part in rescue operations on the seven-thousanders Lenin Peak, Khan Tengri Peak, Communism Peak, and Pobeda Peak. From 1987 – doctor of the Ala-Archa Rescue and Control Post.

In 1988, as a member of the rescue team, he participated in search-and-rescue operations after the earthquake in Armenia, and was awarded the medal "For Labour Distinction". He has countless rescue operations in the mountains to his credit. From 1991 to 1996 he served as a physician of the rapid response unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic. Until 2022 he worked at Kumtor.
