Founded in 1947 by Borivoy Marecek, Vladimir Freifeld and Igor Naumenko. The club climbed Peak Lenin (1960), Peak Korzhenevskogo, Peak Kyzyl-Agyn and many other summits.

Achievements

Peak Lenin (1960), Peak Korzhenevskogo (6005 m, 1963), Peak Kyzyl-Agyn (6679 m, 1963). Traverse of peaks Korzhenevskogo – Shakhtyor – Beletskogo – Simonovicha (highest point 6075 m, 1963), and many other summits. In the 1960s, the Osh club split into three independent sections.

Mountaineering in the 1990s–2000s

In the last years of the USSR, Ala-Archa held first place in the USSR in the number of ascents. The revival of Kyrgyz mountaineering after the dissolution of the USSR flared up in 1997.
